The Temple

The Temple

My family and I were able to visit the Tucson temple twice this past weekend and had a blast.

The grounds are beautifully kept and filled with eye-catching landscapes. My daughter (age 1) loves to crawl around and explore on her own while we follow. We keep a close eye out for other critters of course, but haven’t seen any yet. She also love to play with (and occasionally play with) the fountain structure there.

The temple building itself is majestic in its beauty and even more so in its purpose. Being a house of the Lord, we’ve always felt nearest to God and to Christ at the temple. We go there to receive answers to prayers, seek guidance, and just to get a healthy dose of that peace and spiritual grounding. It’s like a reset for my soul and I love it. I rely on it.

The temple has been a huge blessing in our lives, because it’s kept both my wife, Amy, and I grounded during some difficult times, whether it was struggling in our relationship on the way to our wedding date, struggling to have children, financial struggle, struggling to find healing from past traumas, or one of the bajillion other trials any normal person endures.

How do we get through it all with the temple? Again, it’s the peace and love that we feel there that’s tough to feel anywhere else. Words can’t really describe just how whole I feel after leaving the temple. You’ll just have to go for yourself to find out.
